I Saw Me on TV
Sunday, September 14th, 2008There are a lot of windows in the room I sleep in, which is prime for all those ghosts who like to peek in windows and scare people. I’m too clever for them, though, and I keep the TV on all night to ward them off (and having a blanket cover every part of your body below your neck keeps them away for good).
Two mornings ago I woke up and watched the news for a bit as my eyes adjusted. Broadcast news stations seem to think there’s an equal interest in the weather forecast as any other segment of the show– something I disagree with. Not only would I argue against the need for weather updates every 10 minutes, but I can’t say someone waxing off and on in front of a chroma screen facilitates my understanding of the weather any better than a lower third might.
But the faults of local news aside, and onto the relation of this post to it’s title. After the news sent us to yet another commercial break I was pleasantly surprised to see the ten second commercial cut I did for the Heroes web series last month. Even my graphics were there like it was a regular commercial. I don’t know what the odds of me seeing that are, being that it’s such a quick piece for something that isn’t that heavily promoted in a state that isn’t known for keeping abreast with the times (i.e. the internet).
At any rate that woke me up and made me smile.
